*Ingredients:*

- Urad dal (split black gram) – 1 cup  
- Salt – to taste  
- Water – as needed for soaking and batter  
- Yogurt (curd) – 2 cups  
- Sugar – 1 tsp  
- Ginger paste – 1 tsp  
- Green chili paste – ½ tsp  
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp  
- Curry leaves – a few  
- Oil – for frying  
- Black salt and roasted cumin powder – for seasoning  
- Coriander leaves – for garnish

* Preparing Instructions:*

1. Soak urad dal overnight or for 6-7 hours. Drain water and grind into a smooth batter with little water.  
2. Add salt to the batter and whisk it well to make it fluffy.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Drop small portions of batter carefully into hot oil and fry till golden brown. Remove and drain excess oil.  
4. Prepare sweetened yogurt by mixing curd, sugar, and salt. Beat it smooth.
